Rusty Water or Leaks in Kepong? Help Is on the Way

Brown morning water on the owner's side of the meter

The first water from the tap each morning comes out brown, upstairs pressure is weak and small leaks keep appearing along the same pipe.

Why it happens here: Many Kepong Baru and Taman Kepong houses still run their original galvanised iron supply lines, which rust from inside. Air Selangor's responsibility stops at your meter, so that rusting pipework is the owner's to replace.

How we fix it: Our water pipe installation team surveys the runs, replaces the worst sections with PPR indoors and HDPE underground, and stages the shutdowns so you are never without water for long.

A burst pipe after midnight

Close the main stopcock at your meter and call the 24/7 line. We stop the water first, then quote the permanent repair.

A water bill that suddenly jumped

A running toilet or a concealed pipe is the usual culprit. Leak detection finds it without trial-and-error hacking.

A ceiling stain that keeps coming back

We test the roof, the pipes and the waterproofing so the real source gets fixed, not just the stain.

Choked toilets and floor traps

Cleared mechanically, not with harsh chemicals, then we check the trap and line so the choke stays gone.

Re-Piping Specialists for Mature Townships

Kepong's mature landed townships, from Kepong Baru to Taman Kepong, are a straight run from our Pudu base along the MRR2. Many homes here still use their original galvanised iron pipes and roof tanks, so rusty water, tank overflows and re-piping are our everyday jobs.

Since 2022 the MRT Putrajaya Line has brought new condos around Metro Prima and Jinjang, and Desa ParkCity adds high-rise living around its Central Park. Strata jobs here are mostly booster systems and floor trap leaks, and we arrange access with management first.

Storms hit this side of the city hard: during the December 2021 floods the Jinjang rain station logged 258 mm in a day. After a downpour we check roof tank overflows and drain outlets as well as the leak you called about, and we cover neighbouring Selayang on the same route.

Getting to you

Reached from Pudu along the MRR2 and DUKE, with five MRT Putrajaya Line stations opened in 2022.

  • MRR2
  • DUKE Expressway
  • MRT Putrajaya Line (Metro Prima, Kepong Baru, Jinjang, Sri Delima)
  • KTM Kepong and Kepong Sentral

Our Route Along the MRR2

From our Pudu base we take the MRR2 north, which brings us into Kepong Baru, Jinjang and Metro Prima without crossing the city centre.

  • Desa ParkCity and the western side: reached via the MRR2 and Jalan Kepong.
  • Taman Kepong near FRIM Kepong: quiet residential streets, easy parking for our team.
  • Same trip to Selayang: because Selayang sits just beyond on our route, we often combine calls in both areas.

MRR2 traffic can be heavy at peak hours. We tell you a realistic arrival window when you book, and emergency calls at night are usually quicker.

Properties We Work On

The area is mostly established landed housing, with newer condominiums around Metro Prima and Desa ParkCity.

  • Older terraces in Kepong Baru and Taman Kepong: galvanised iron pipes, rooftop or ceiling-space water tanks, ball float valves past their best, and booster pumps feeding upstairs bathrooms.
  • Jinjang shophouses: leaking supply lines, blocked kitchen drains and roof leaks on older flat roofs.
  • Condos near Metro Prima and Desa ParkCity: bathroom seepage, floor trap problems and booster system faults, with access arranged through management.

If your tank overflows into the drain all night, that water is being billed. A failed float valve is a quick fix.

What Kepong Residents Ask Us

Local answers for homeowners, landlords and tenants.

Why is the water in my house brown in the morning?

Often it is rust from old galvanised iron pipes that sat still overnight. Run the tap for a minute; if it clears, your pipes are the likely cause. If it stays brown, it may be supply-side. We can test and advise.

Do you replace roof tanks in Taman Kepong?

Yes. We clean, repair and replace roof tanks across Taman Kepong and Kepong Baru, including float valves, overflow pipes and new poly or stainless steel tanks.

Which Kepong areas do you serve?

Kepong Baru, Taman Kepong, Metro Prima, Jinjang and Desa ParkCity, plus neighbouring Selayang on the same MRR2 route.

How much is a plumber here?

Visits start with a RM30 check that you do not pay if the quote is accepted. Typical repairs fall within RM80 to RM500, and re-piping or tank replacement is quoted after inspection.

Who fixes a leaking pipe between my meter and my house?

The owner does. Air Selangor maintains the network up to the meter only, so any leak on the house side is a private repair. We trace it, quote it and replace the failing run, and we come out day or night for a burst.

Do you work in Desa ParkCity and Metro Prima condos?

Yes. We coordinate with building management for access and work permits before arriving, and handle booster systems, floor traps and bathroom leaks.

Is re-piping a terrace a big job?

It depends on the house and whether pipes are exposed or concealed. We survey first, then give you a written quote and a timeline, and cut water in stages.

Still have a question?
